MILAN FASHION WEEK: GUCCI SS17

 I love this.

I normally skip Milan Fashion week as I'm tired after London. I know that's bad but I found the designers that show there normally aren't my thing. However, since living in Italy this year, I seem to have changed my tune a bit. I think living there, I found a balance with Italian style.
I mean, Italians are stylish as hell. They can really dress and take fashion very seriously. I'm starting to warm towards Italian designers now too. I started with an interest in Dolce and Gabbana which I thought would never happen and now, Gucci?!?!

Anyway, back to the clothes. I am loving the bright splashes of color that seem to be a theme in the SS17 collections. It's not always a given that you'll have color as pastels and white can sometimes take over. I am loving that colour seems to be back, bold and bright. Fighting for attention with clashing prints and almost neons. I'm into it.

So Gucci had a weird 70's vibe....well kinda.....There were platforms, Elton John inspired glasses and suits before going further back in time to an almost Renaissance vibe. There were some sstrange layered and lace dresses that curiously had a massive heart stitched onto the front. Some pieces were hits and some were a bit...well...weird. I wonder how the average Gucci customer would feel?

I am not a Gucci customer and I normally skip their catwalks to be honest. This drew me in as I saw a selection of the pieces and needed to see the whole line up. It's odd but it works.

It was massive collection too with 76 pieces in total.
