Lupita Nyong'o brightens up her day in a chic striped dress and red overcoat heading to The Late Show with Stephen Colbert

 Lupita Nyong'o  looked every inch the high-fashion model rocking a couture ensemble in New York City on Monday.  The 36-year-old natural stunner turned heads in a red and pink striped dress and matching overcoat as she headed into The Late Show with Stephen Colbert studio.

Daring to impress, the Oscar winner paired the sensational look with a luxury white handbag, red hoop earrings, and matching high heels. She kept her trademark raven tresses naturally curly with a side swipe as she framed her youthful face with retro shades. Lupita has been heavily promoting Us, the new horror film from Jordan Peele.

The film, which also stars Winston Duke and Elizabeth Moss, follows a family who are enjoying a vacation at the beach, but their serenity quickly turns to chaos when a group of horrifying doppelgängers begin to terrorise them. She revealed that even the crew were scared of her and her cast mates while they performed as the horrifying doppelgänger Red family.

Speaking during an appearance on the Lauren Laverne Podcast on Friday, she explained: 'I would say the atmosphere changed according to which family was working, when it was the Wilson’s it was all games and jokes, stupid dad jokes and whatnot and the set was quite light. 

'And then when the Red family were working the set it would be extremely quiet, everyone was whispering, nobody wanted to look us in the eye.
