God I love Halloween.
I was super happy with my make up.
While there was a lot of 'upkeep' with this, I was pleased with how it came out. The overall effect was slightly more terrifying then I had planned! I started painting at four that afternoon and didn't finish until it reached seven! Mind you, previous Halloween paints have taken longer then that again.
SKIN - White Face and Body by MAC mixed in to NC15 studio fix. It was then powdered with setting powder from MAC.
EYES- Paint sticks from MAC over the eyes and then fanned out into the lines with a 266 angled liner brush. I set the black paint stick with black shadow from Urban Decay. Annoyingly, it kept moving through the night. I also added depth to the lines by using Toast by Bobbi Brown. A medium brown.
LIPS- Same products as above. I mapped out where the lines were going to go using Rapid black liquid liner pen from MAC.
It drove me a little mad. You can't see the level of blending I had to do or the hours spent redrawing lines or adding depth to lines. I was slightly mad after I finished.
The original plan was to go in my PVC costume as a deranged nun. However, the last time I wore this I was a lot younger and unaware of how short it was. Now, I'm 31 and didn't want to have both bum cheeks out. I also got glutened before I wore it was I wasn't in the mood for the PVC fabric. I decided to swap out the dress. You can see how short it was below!
I also wore my thigh high 80s inspired boots too! I got them in Primark last year before moving to Italy then never wore them! I brought them home at Christmas time with me and they have been in the house ever since.
I also did Isabella's make up but I promise another post at a later date on that. We both went to Nottingham Contemporary for drinks for their New Orleans party. I had so much fun. I have to say the gallery was really impressive. All the bands were really well chosen and fit the theme completely.
